Tel Aviv was ranked the world’s eighth best city!

Tel-Aviv has once again earned itself another title after being named “the world’s most fun” out of 100 cities by Time Magazine this past week. Not only that but Tel-aviv also took home top honors on two other categories; they are now regarded not just for their delicious dishes any longer but rather all around amazing culture! The survey which was conducted with 27000 people who live within each respective town proved how much more than great cooking plays into earning such titles.

In the survey, respondents were most impressed with Tel Aviv’s culture and night life scene. They also noted that community is very important during a pandemic such as Covid, which has been especially notable in Tel Aviv. Respondents felt strongly about environmental initiatives and commitment to activism from locals living here.

Dan Savery Raz writes, “Tel Avivians are a hardy bunch. When Covid hit tourism, this high-tech hub took time to reset and recharge with the pandemic causing them ‘the city that never stops’ for take well needed pause. Spaces like Dizengoff Square and Park HaMesila played host to picnics concerts screenings talks.”

In the poll, 81 percent of Tel Avivians said their city is ‘fun’ and 84 percent can say they express themselves. The Pride Parade in TLV has the widest choice of vegan options as well as a nightlife that provides an alternative to any other scene.

This year’s list of the best cities in world shines a spotlight on metropolises that adapted during time where fun, culture and socializing were largely off the table,” said Caroline McGinn, Time Out global editor-in chief. “You’d think pandemic might defeat point living city but results show community spirit higher than ever people supporting each other as well local business initiatives many even having some fun.”
